Designed by PALO SANTO and handcrafted by women artisans in Oaxaca, Mexico, each Kantunil is made from 100% natural, locally sourced clay found in the region. No synthetic materials or artificial dyes are used; instead, the bowl’s warm, matte coloration comes directly from the character of the raw earth itself.

Each piece requires more than 20 days to complete, reflecting the slow, deliberate nature of traditional artisan production. The resulting variations in tone, texture, finish, and form preserve evidence of both the maker’s hand and the natural material, ensuring that every bowl is distinctly its own.

At ten inches in diameter, the Kantunil transitions effortlessly between serveware and sculptural object. Fill it with citrus or seasonal fruit for a garden table, use it as a striking serving vessel, or leave it empty on a console or dining table to let its silhouette take center stage.
