A distinctive piece of American tabletop history, The Nautilus 1945 Porcelain Teapot pairs the graceful proportions of vintage Homer Laughlin china with an unexpected blue-and-silver finish. Its rounded body, gently arched handle, sculpted lid, and elegant spout give it a timeless silhouette that feels especially at home among the collected blue-and-white pieces of The Harbor House.

Crafted by the Homer Laughlin China Company as part of its Eggshell Nautilus line, introduced in 1937, the teapot features the lightweight, thin-walled porcelain construction for which the collection became known. The manufacturer's mark J 45 N 5 dates this example to 1945. A later custom-painted treatment washes the original form in graduated blue and silvery tones, giving this vintage piece a one-of-a-kind character while preserving its classic American provenance.

Style it on a breakfast table, tea tray, open hutch, or alongside blue-and-white porcelain for a collected coastal look that feels acquired over generations rather than newly decorated.
