What does the fabric shade look and feel like?
The shade is a cotton-linen blend in a warm earthy brown, with a knitted patterned weave — slight irregularity in the texture is part of the look, not a defect. Cotton-linen takes light beautifully: the bulb glows through the weave with a soft, slightly textured light pattern, warmer and more diffuse than glass or acrylic shades. The brown tone adds warmth to the lit color temperature and grounds the fixture in spaces with wood, leather, or earth-tone palettes. Over time the fibers develop a gentle patina that adds character.
Can I install this on a sloped or vaulted ceiling?
Yes — the canopy is designed to mount flush against flat, sloped, and vaulted ceilings without a separate adapter. The pendant hangs straight down regardless of ceiling angle. For very steeply pitched ceilings (over ~45°), confirm with your electrician that the canopy contacts the ceiling cleanly; in extreme cases a sloped-ceiling adapter may still be preferable.
How do I adjust the hanging height?
The 59" / 150 cm cord is field-adjustable at the canopy. Your electrician will set the final drop length during installation by shortening the visible cord and securing it inside the canopy. Once installed it's a fixed length, so plan the drop before mounting — the included installation sheet covers this in detail.
Are bulbs included? What type do I need?
Bulbs are not included. The pendant uses one medium-base bulb (E26 in North America, E27 in Europe and most of the world), 40W maximum. We recommend a 2700K warm-white LED in this wattage class — the warm tone reads beautifully through the natural cotton-linen weave. The fixture supports dimmable bulbs for use with a wall dimmer.
Where does this pendant work best?
At 11.8" diameter, this is an accent-scale pendant — best as a single fixture above a bedside table, in a hallway or foyer, or grouped (3 or 5 in a row) above a kitchen island or longer dining table. With a 40W maximum bulb it's mood/ambient lighting rather than primary task light. For larger rooms or as a dining-table centerpiece, consider a larger fixture or hang multiples.
Is professional installation required?
The pendant hardwires into a standard ceiling junction box. Because cord-length adjustment happens at install time and many regions require licensed installation for hardwired fixtures, we strongly recommend installation by a licensed electrician.
